Sustainability Report 2025–2026: how Haelvoet is committed to circular Care Solutions

We are proud to present our new sustainability report for 2025–2026. From circular product design to generating 95% of our electricity with our own solar panels: the report shows how sustainable innovation and social responsibility go hand in hand at Haelvoet.

Transparency and sustainability are essential in the healthcare sector today. Haelvoet has been building a forward-looking vision of entrepreneurship for years, and this report provides a clear overview of the concrete actions and results achieved. For example, we develop modular care furniture with a long lifespan, which is reused or donated to care institutions in countries such as Ghana and Ukraine – a valuable contribution to the circular economy.

In terms of energy efficiency, we now generate 95% of our electricity consumption through our own solar panels. Additionally, we have invested in batteries, heat pumps, additional insulation, and smart lighting to further reduce our energy consumption. Sustainability is also central to our production processes: a few years ago, we switched from chrome to more environmentally friendly alternatives such as epoxy and stainless steel coating. Thanks to the optimization of the epoxy process, our gas consumption has decreased by no less than 50%.

The well-being of our employees also receives ample attention. Ergonomic workstations, targeted training, and initiatives such as 'Plastic-Free May' underscore our commitment to a healthy and motivating work environment. Finally, the United Nations sustainability framework is an important guideline: we concretely link our actions to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Certificates obtained such as PEFC, ISO 14001, and UNITAR confirm the sustainable course that Haelvoet has been following for years.
