Haelvoet achieves VOKA sustainable entrepreneurship certificate for the third consecutive year

At the end of June 2024, Haelvoet received the VOKA Charter for Sustainable Entrepreneurship (VCDO) for the third consecutive year.

VOKA assists companies in integrating sustainability into their corporate DNA throughout tailored action plans that combine profitability with social and environmental responsibility.

During the 2023-2024 period, an audit by VOKA Flanders confirmed that Haelvoet's initiatives had a positive ecological impact. Thanks to effective actions, Haelvoet continues to achieve sustainable results.

Some examples of these actions include:

• Fitness sessions in the company gym for employees (SDG 3)
• Additional bicycle parking and charging stations for electric bikes (SDG 3)
• School visits (primary schools to put technical work in the spotlight) and internships (SDG 4)
• Relighting in the metal department (SDG 7)
• Roof renovations and insulation in the metal and wood departments (SDG 7)
• A clean-up walk to remove waste from creeks and verges (SDG 14 & 15)

Each action was linked to one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and now all 17 SDGs have been accomplished over the past three years.

Haelvoet remains committed to a greener future, supported by our employees, partners, and VOKA.
